The Knicks have been eliminated

First off…

What gives?!

I could understand if Paul Pierce were a player who did not accomplish much in his career. But he is a world champion, multiple time All-Star and All-NBA player, and a member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team. Pretty good career to say the least.

And yet, he too joins the malicious chorus online celebrating the Knicks’ loss to the Pacers in game 7. I could understand if the Knicks were a powerhouse team that won championships year after year. The team has won two championships in its existence, the last one now 51 years ago. And yet their losses, and their fanbase’s suffering, is met with the sort of glee one would expect when the wicked get their just due!
